Orville Redenbacher’s Salted Caramel microwave popcorn
Comments: No messy 1-2-combo bag where you pop the popcorn, then open the other bag and toss the caramel loaf on top and microwave it some more. Sure, it’s just caramel flavor, but it’s GOOD! Nice sweetness that’s not too heavy. You get the salt and the caramel in a light, crunchy popcorn. Very good!
Wicked Audio’s ‘Deuce’ earbuds
Comments: Bought these at Staples. Same price as the ones they sell at Walgreen’s, but have a considerably longer lifespan, comes with additional earbuds AND have the function built-into the cord, like the Apple earbuds, where you can press it and pause the audio/video. Nice!
L’Oreal Paris Shampoo & conditioner
Comments: I NEVER go for fancy schmancy shampoos, but these were on sale. Coupled with the fact that I’m getting old and my hair has turned into my father’s, where it just lays there and gives up on life, I thought ‘what the heck?’ Smells wonderful. Kinda, sorta fluffs me up…but not so much. Still, good price and it smells delicious…and it doesn’t hurt that the packaging is purty.
Ass Kickin‘ Chili Lime popcorn
Comments: I was kinda scared to open the microwave after this popped, since the entire house smelled of eye-watering spiciness, but it was really good! Definitely beats the plain ol’ buttered that everyone seems to love so much. I have nothing against butter, but most microwave versions leave a grody film in my mouth that’s a real turn off.
Ass Kickin’ Habanero popcorn
Zevia Cherry Cola
Comments: Found this at the Kroger near where I work in Dallas. I’d read about it, and always wanted to try the brand, but I never see it anywhere locally (they probably have it at Whole Foods, but I rarely go there). Could have lived with a little more Cola flavor and a little less Cherry, but it was still delicious! I’d definitely buy it again. TONS of flavors to choose from!
Frankenberry strawberry fruit roll ups
Comments: SO friggin’ good! I couldn’t find a current image of Frankenberry nor the box, since General Mills feels compelled to change his fuckin’ look ALL THE TIME

Snapple Grape Berry Punch
Comments: A few weeks ago, I was wondering if Snapple was still around. Remember when you couldn’t turn on the TV when there wasn’t a commercial for it? Remember ‘Wendy‘? Anyway, as I was entering the grocery store the other day, there it was: a big Snapple display! My question had been answered. Anyway, they had these ginormous cans of Grape Berry Punch for 79¢ a can, so I bought a few. Oh man! It is sooooo good! I like that it’s not carbonated. If you get a chance, try some. I am pacing myself, otherwise my blood sugar could go ballistic. Continue reading

Oh boy. I have sooo many ‘3 Things’ ready to go and so little time. So, although I have images for October and November, I’ll bypass them for now, as to be current, with this moments’ current forerunners. Continue reading

Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts
Comments: On my most recent trip to the grocery store, I spied this new ‘Limited Edition’ flavor (along with a Limited Edition Halloween flavor: Spookylicious {Chocolate Fudge}) in a display at the end of the aisle. My first thought was “what a brilliant idea for a flavor!” I imagined the pumpkin empanada I had once, and how good it was. Well, they did not disappoint! They are goood. Will definitely have to grab some more while they’re still around. Continue reading

Dawn Pineapple Hawaiian Breeze Dishwashing Liquid
Comments: Oh man! FINALLY! If you love the scent of pineapple, like I do, then you will like this new scent from Dawn. I recently read a very dramatic review of this product, by some mommie who has to “rush to wash the dishes” because the smell was just too much for her tender lil’ system to process. WHAT-EVER. You know what, if you don’t like the scent, why-the-fuck would you buy it in the first place? Am I the only one who unscrews the cap with my tough little hands, IN THE STORE, and stands there and smell-tests all the scents BEFORE I choose one? Geezus. I have zero patience for pussies. SO, if you’re not a pussy and you like the scent of pineapple, definitely grab this one while you can. I’ve already heard that it’s getting harder to find. Continue reading

Crystal Light Mocktail Drink Mixes
Comments: As you know, a friend turned me onto Mio water enhancer and I love it. Well, another friend recently introduced me to Crystal Light’s new line of ‘Mocktail’ drink mixes! Yep, it’s all your favorite adult beverage flavors sans the alcohol! So far I’ve tried Margarita, Mojito and Appletini, all of which I like (though Margarita is my favorite). Now I just need to try the Peach Bellini (bet it’s awesome!) and Pomtini (pomegranate martini).

Ziploc VersaGlass Storage Containers
Comments: Though I own a Tupperware microwave rice cooker (and love it; it makes perfect rice every time!), I’m one of those old ladies that still prefers glass containers. And that’s why I was happy to see an affordable glass container alternative from Ziploc. They come in all sizes and assorted colors (lids). Naturally, I chose the orange. In addition to being glass, durable and reusable, they are also very versatile in the sense that they are made from VersaGlass, which can be frozen, microwaved, baked (in the oven) and are dishwater safe. Nice!

V-8 Potato Leek Soup
Comments: I happened upon this soup on the clearance rack at Target, for a mere $1.50. I bought it on a whim, but had I known how delicious and fresh-tasting it would be, I would have definitely bought more. Though I normally don’t ‘do’ soup and/or hot beverages until late Fall, Winter, I did try this recently and I’m hooked! Would definitely be a good complement to some toasted sourdough bread. In addition, next time I may top off the soup with a little shredded cheese and some chives. Perfection.

Orville Redenbacher’s Pop Kit
Comments: I couldn’t locate an exact photo of the package I bought, but it’s almost identical, except mine says ‘Pop Kit’ on the front and is just 5 oz. The package says it makes 20.1/4 cups and the kit includes popping corn, seasoning salt and sunflower oil. I found it at Target for just $1.49 a pack, so I bought several. Brilliant concept whose time has come!
Mio Orange Tangerine Liquid Water Enhancer

Comments: A friend recently turned me onto this and I have to admit I really like it. I read some (ridiculous) comments left at an online review, and I have to say it’s gotta be do-gooder trolls with nothing better to do. Yes, it has artificial colors, sweetener (Sucrose, not Aspartame), chemicals, etc. Big deal. What doesn’t anymore? I never signed up to live for fuckin’ ever. Besides, this product wasn’t made for those who live on a cloud in Rainbowland. It tastes delicious, only takes a few squirts and it’s actually been curbing my appetite. Naturally, all the holier-than-though health nuts who left comments on the review site, were Henny Pennying about it causing Cancer and making other outrageous accusations. I call horse shit. I must admit though, that one of the ingredients also doubles as an antifreeze-type de-icer. Oh well, I guess when winter comes I’ll be safe from frostbite. Mio comes in lots of flavors. So far I’ve tried Orange Tangerine and Lemonade (they mix well too, fyi). Next one: Peach Mango.

OtterBox iPhone case
Comments: I was given an OtterBox as a gift recently and I have to say I love it! I’m not an OtterBox aficionado, so I’m not sure which ‘series’ mine is, but I like that it has a soft inner core (1 piece) and a hard outer shell (2nd piece). I feel much better about dropping my phone now, which I don’t normally do, but I HAVE, like 3 times in the last month or so. Thanks to the OtterBox I’ll be less likely to freak out now.
