I enjoy Pinterest, mostly on a visual level, since I don’t have the kind of time/talent some of these people do when it comes to crafts.
That said, a few months ago I stumbled across this totally simple little idea and thought it was very clever (and did I mention simple?). I made a few for Halloween, cut a few slots on the side, at the bottom, and had them “sitting” on an old branch I found in the backyard.
BUT NOW, I come across this image, completely randomly, whilst doing an image search for something completely unrelated: using them on a Christmas tree! How cute is that? Well, cute, if you like owls (which I do). Just thought I would share this with ya. I’m not including a How-To, because there’s really not much explanation needed: you just mash in the top (both sides) of an empty toilet paper roll, paint it and draw faces. Voila! Instant owl party!
A company going by the moniker Mondo produces poster artwork for films. I LOVE their work, but of course, it’s expensive. Anyway, here are 3 of my slasher favorites, reinvented. ❤
I forget how I stumbled across this, via YouTube, but it’s a phenomenon that I never knew had a name (and it didn’t until 2010): Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, or ASMR.
Apparently it’s even hard to define, but the best definition I found was this:
ASMR is a physical sensation characterized by a pleasurable (but not necessarily sexual) physical sensation characterized by pleasurable tingling that typically begins in the head and scalp, and often moves down the spine and through the limbs.
Oh boy. I have sooo many ‘3 Things’ ready to go and so little time. So, although I have images for October and November, I’ll bypass them for now, as to be current, with this moments’ current forerunners. Continue reading
I‘ve been wanting a Crock Pot for a while now, I just never seem to either have the money and/or can’t seem to find one I like. I want one because my friend in Michigan, as well as some local friends, seem to make some of the easiest, most delicious-sounding meals. My problem is, I’m a slave to design and color. All the ones I see are so humongous and/or bland. What I’d REALLY like is one like we had when I was growing up. BUT, if I recall, the lid was lost or chipped or something and even if we DID still have it, I’m sure some random distant relative laid claim to it, since it disappeared from the countertop.
