My friend, ‘A’ just returned from a trip to DisneyWorld (you’ll be happy to know there is no shortage of princess-related items in the souvenir shops) and was telling me about her flight home. It annoyed me so much my right eye started to twitch, so I thought I would pay it forward.

Before the incident took place, she mentioned that 2 soldiers (we’re assuming since they were in fatigues), met another soldier while in line and they offered for lone soldier to sit with them. Continue reading

The Princess & the Pea Brain

After reading this (brief) article on AOL, I felt compelled to share it. I used to be able to watch some of these reality shows (Super Nanny, Trading Spouses, Wife Swap, My Super Sweet 16), but I just can’t handle them anymore. I find it way too stress-inducing (re: blood pressure-inducing) and depressing. I do, however, remember seeing this particularly explosive episode (along with the super-nut ‘God Warrior‘ one). This made me laugh though (especially the last paragraph).

Notorious Reality TV ‘Brat’ Sues ABC for $100 Million

A teen beauty queen who was featured on ABC’s ‘Wife Swap’ two years ago is suing the network for $100 million, charging they framed scenes to “maximize her public embarrassment” by making her look like a spoiled brat. In court papers obtained by the NY Daily News, Alicia Guastaferro, 18, claims she has received death threats and harbors suicidal tendencies since the show, in which she offered, “I do feel sorry for people that are not gorgeous people.” Watch:

Chef Boy-Ar-Deez Bad Pizzas!

This weekend, P came over and we spent the day hanging out together. We went out to lunch but I decided to make dinner a little more hands-on, so I bought one of those Chef Boyardee Pizza Kits. I haven’t bought one, I don’t think, since maybe the 80’s (90’s, maybe?). Anyway, it’d been a long time and for good reason: I never have success with them! N E V E R. LOL! The crust either burns or isn’t fully cooked. Well, this time around, it was the later. P made a pepperoni & cheese pizza (top); I opted for the orange/yellow bell pepper & pepperoni (bottom). They both SMELLED and LOOKED delicious…but, as usual, we were unable to actually pick up a ‘slice’ and eat it, like a “real” pizza, so, we busted out the forks. As we sat and watched a movie, I had to start laughing because, as P had mentioned earlier, it was SO bad, yet we couldn’t stop eating it. It made me laugh because it made me think of that standup CD of Ellen DeGeneres’, called Taste This; Re: things that taste bad and/or have spoiled: “Oh god, this is awful…here, taste this.” And it’s true! It WAS bad, yet the toppings were so delicious and something about it was tantalizing. Maybe we were just really hungry. I dunno. Regardless, it was fun and we had something to laugh about later.
